Hack is a term in the slang of the technology culture which has come into existence over the past few decades. As a noun, it has a number of related meanings. As a verb, it means creating or participating in a hack. The initial hacker community applied this pre-existing local slang to computer programming. A "hack" now meant a clever or quick fix to a computer program problem, as in "That hack you made last night to the editor is working well". A hacker came into the lexicon as meaning one who hacks, using this definition. The surface implication (which might be a modest mocking and play on the literary definition) was a casual attempt to fix the problem, but the deeper meaning was something more clever and thus impressive. This site contains a complete list of the hacks that are available online.

Project IP
In computer networking, an IP address (is a unique number that devices use in order to identify and communicate with each other on a network utilizing the Internet Protocol standard. Project IP lists just about everything a webserver can find out about your computer.

Linux on a Dead Badger
Let's face it: any script kiddie with a pair of pliers can put Red Hat on a Compaq, his mom's toaster, or even the family dog. But nothing earns you geek points like installing Linux on a dead badger. So if you really want to earn your wizard hat, just read the following instructions, and soon your friends will think you're slick as caffeinated soap.

The Real Simpsons
The creators of The Simpsons wanted to know what the shows opening sequence would be like with real people. They pay close attention to every detail except they filmed it in England so Maggie is on the wrong side of car, I guess thats nit picking.

Pinata Accidents
The pinata is a bright candy-and-toy-filled container (generally suspended on a rope from a tree branch or ceiling) that is used during celebrations. A succession of blindfolded, stick-wielding children try to break the piñata in order to collect the candy inside of it. It has been used for hundreds of years to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas.
